Holiday to Cornwall - Day 1

Our last visit to Cornwall was at least 18 years ago, so we decided to revisit Pentewan Sands Holiday Park where we had many a good holiday.

Our drive down was a bit on the long slide as we decided to avoid the motorways and travel via Oxford, Salisbury, Exeter, Pymouth, St Austell. Due to traffic, rain and stops it took us 9 hours and we covered 351 miles.

Pentewan Sands Holiday Village is a static caravan and touring site located just outside Pentewan Village and between St Austell and Mevagissey on the south-west coast of England.  It is quite a large site with 128 static vans/ holiday homes and 502 pitches for tourers and tents.

The facilities on site include The Seahorse restaurant and club house, the Hubbox an American diner, Pentewan Plaice takeaway fish and chips, the Jolly Roger pub, 2 indoor swimming pools, an adult and child's tennis courts, an indoor Kid’s Zone play area and a local store.

The view from the sundeck of The Seahorse, where you can enjoy a drink or two and chill.

There are also various water sports available from the beach and cycle hire to explore the area.

Of if you want a quiet relaxed afternoon, you can sit by the shore fishing, does it really matter if you don't catch anything?

Large sands, large skies of Pentewan Sands beach located in Mevagissey Bay.

Even as the sun starts to go down, it still looks lovely.
