Güzelçamlı Flora and Fauna

Güzelçamlı is a coastal town on the Aegean Coast of Turkey with plenty of interesting flora and fauna.

The beautiful white of the Arum Lily (Zantedeschia aethiopica) can be seen planted along one of the river banks that run towards the sea.  These plants are not native to Turkey but are becoming popular.

A common sight in most parts of Turkey are groups of cute puppies, these ones were being looked after by a local restaurant.

You will always see House Sparrows sitting around in trees and bushes, not the prettiest of birds, but they do have lovely characters.  Here you can see a male and female.

I had to add this photo to this post.  This little girl was really enthusiastic about feeding the ducks and fish that were in the river and loved having her photo taken.
