Light Effects

The next four shots were taken one Christmas evening.  My Brother had read about using a glass object as your subject, then placing it on a dark surface, (in this case the underside of a board game, board), in a dark room (our dining room). Then with the camera set to a slow shutter speed, on a tripod, and with somebody moving a pencil size torch in the background you create a lighting effect. We were very pleased with our results.

These shots were taken using a Canon PowerShot G5, on a tripod.
